Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 – Event Recap
How can I start describing my first CES experience? If I need to choose one word, it probably be “overwhelming.”
But if I can use more than one word, it would be “the most incredible show I have ever seen!”
This huge event spread over 8 locations for 5 days in Las Vegas. With people from all over the world and from different verticals, the city was colored by the atmosphere of CES.
I came to CES to support our P&G partners, Lumi by Pampers. The first all-in-one baby monitor system built to help parents see their baby in HD launched in Q4 2019, and seamlessly tracks their activity so they can anticipate their needs and build a routine.
As I walked through the halls, I was in awe. Huge booths displaying incredible innovations ranging from dancing robots that help to educate children to new kitchen hub microwaves.
I had the chance to taste the new impossible pork and the new White Castle in a bun. I created my own lipstick and even tried to see myself with different hair colors, but decided to keep my brownish, dark blond color in the end.
I saw foldable smartphones and their laptop counterparts, new self-driving cars, smart cities, blockchain, entertainment & sports, and smart toothbrushes (because that’s now a thing).
As for sex tech? Well, that was also part of the show…
What I’m trying to say here is that anything you can call innovation will be at the Consumer Electronics Show!
It’s so big that to go from one location to another is about 20-30 min during rush hour.
The phrase FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) is the only way I can describe the feeling I had when I tried to organize my day. I didn’t want to miss any important innovation or be left out of what everyone was talking about.
Even the casinos were left empty during the CES week.
We will definitely see you next year!
